Cat I Epirb, automatic deployment. The Global fix 406 has an internal GPS engine for convenient, all-in-one EPIRB that will update position every 20 minutes. Faster than standard 406 EPIRB when LAT/LONG data is transmitted through GEOSATR satellite system. Transmits on 406 MHz with your registered, unique, digitally-coded distress signal, and 121.4 MHz, SAR honing frequency. Built in strobe for enhanced location in poor visibility conditions. Single, three position switch for easy test of battery, EPIRB and GPS operation. Steady green LED indicates unit has passed full functional EPIRB test, flashing red LED indicates that the EPIRB is “on”. GPS has header test feature and self test feature built in. Can be manually activated, self bouyant, no need for an external float collar. Lanyard coil retained with all around cover for non-tangling deployment. High impact plastic case designed to withstand exposure to UV rays, oil, sea water and raft packing. Comes with a 5 year limited warranty and a 5 year replacement life lithium battery. Class 1 battery will function for 48 hours at -40 degrees F. Comes standard in a fully enclosed polyethylene bracket that withstands extremely abusive environments. MADE IN USA
